Xara Web Designer Premium from Magix is high functioning web design software that you’re sure to enjoy. We liked how many options the application provides to design websites and the freedom and versatility such options provided. With this application, you can create virtually any type of new website. Everything you need to put together a polished, professional-looking website is available with the premium version of Xara Web Designer. However, such deep functionality and advanced features render the software a bit cumbersome to use, especially for beginners.



Feature Set:

Xara Web Designer appeals to a wide range of users with its array of templates. Offering more than 1,000 templates, the software has a suitable template for every type of site, whether for business or personal use. Additionally, if you have web design experience, the design application allows you to also build a site from scratch.

The software is also just one of a few applications in our lineup that lets you completely customize its templates. While other applications in this category are rigid when it comes to page layout, Xara Web Designer gives you the ability to put your design elements wherever you want on site pages. You don’t have to change your text to make it so you can slide images in. The text wraps around whatever object you are trying to incorporate the moment it enters your page. Graphics can even be coupled with blocks of text, so both can move at the same time.

The web design software’s feature set is near perfect. Navigation features to ensure easy navigation on your site are easy to create with the software’s navigation assistant. Another minor but nonetheless convenient feature we appreciated was the software’s built-in spell-checker. This helps you from inadvertently publishing spelling mistakes on your website. The eCommerce options available in the application include but aren’t limited to email newsletters, web analysis, search engine optimization, affiliate marketing programs, advertising, online shops and PayPal options.

Our only complaint in regard to the software’s features is a minor one; it does not support QuickTime videos. However, this isn’t much of a drawback considering the software does support other types of popular video media.
